Online Training for Navigate Users

The sessions are designed to give you a refresher of the Navigate platform. Please register for the sessions below.
These sessions are for Navigate staff users only.

Assessments
 

By attending this session, you will learn how to:
 
1) Add and complete an assessment as a student 

2) Monitor whether your students have completed their assessments 

3) View a student's initial and distance travelled assessment results 

4) Use the Cohort Initial Skill Assessment Report to identify skill gaps

5) Use the Cohort Distance Travelled skill Assessment Report to evidence your student's skills development.

Placements

 

By attending this session you will:

Recap the placement process - understand the tasks that need
to be completed by the student, staff, and employer, to move a
placement from start to finish

Staff site

1) Learn how to create a placement for the student

2) Understand the automatic email communications between the college and the employer to (1) request the placement, (2) track attendance, (3) gather feedback.

3) Learn how to monitor the progress your students are making on their placements

4) Learn how to request placements from students if they have found their own.

5) Learn how to approve student submitted placements (from step 4)

6) Learn how to mark a placement as complete/incomplete.


Student site

1) Learn how students view placement details

2) Learn how students complete their daily journal entries and confirm attendance

3) Learn how students submit self-found placement details to you to approve/edit.

Activities
 

1) Add an activity as a student

2) View the activities that your students have been adding

3) Add an activity against an individual student

4) Add an activity against a tutor group/course/department

5) (Student Groups) - create your own bespoke group and add an activity against your group.

By attending this session you will learn how to:

1) Set a target against an individual student

2) Bulk set targets against a tutor group/course/department/cross college

3) Understand how students add evidence against their targets and submit them for approval 

4) Sign off/reject targets that have been submitted back for review

5) Monitor the progress your students are making towards their targets.

Employers
 


By attending this session, you will learn how to:

1) Navigate the Employers Module

2) Create a new employer record and add contacts against the organisation.

3) Manage compliance, i.e ELI expiry dates and H&S expiry dates

3) Attach documents and notes, and record meetings/interactions against the employer record audit trail

4) Use the 'Employer Search' tool to browse for new employers by industry sector, postcode and radius.

By attending this session you will learn how to:

1) Take the Careers Quiz in the MyFuture module as a student. 

2) View your careers and create careers targets as a student. 

3) View a student record to see what careers activities your students have been logging. 

4) View a student's employability skills assessment results. 

5) View a student's careers targets and track their progress. 

6) Add a careers activity against an individual student. 

7) Bulk-add a careers activity against a group of students.

T Levels
 


By attending this session, you will learn all of the new changes for T Level placements. 

1) How to create a T Level placement. 

2) Understanding the 4 approvals required for a T Level placement.

3) How to add employability/technical goals/targets to your T Level placements.

4) Understanding the email communications between the college and the employer. 

5) How to request a T Level placement from your students.

6) How students view their placement details, complete their pre placement checklists and mark their attendance through their journal entries. 

7) How students complete their employability/technical targets.
